I was unable to get seeds for this tomato last year, auctions on eBay went crazy and of course, I always seemed to loose. Pricing on the Black Sea Man, even on Amazon runs $3.99 for 10 seeds and I can’t explain to you why. However THIS year I was able to come across some seeds in bulk that I can offer you at a MUCH lower price than most sellers offer. I can offer you 10 seeds for a beginning bid of 25 cents!!
I will be growing my first plants this year, however fruits are said to be a rich mahogany with olive shoulders when mature with an incredibly full bodied, intense, creamy tomato flavor; with a fantastic taste that is hard to describe.
The high-in-demand Black Sea Man Tomato is a determinate potato leaf bushing variety of Black Krim. The tomatoes are similar in size and texture to Black Krim, but on smaller plants that seem to do well in raised beds and border areas. The plants themselves yield a moderate amount of tomatoes.
The fruit is colorful both inside and out with a dense centre that makes it perfect for slicing and eating on sandwiches.

The best time to Plant is

Growing Tip: Tomatoes are best started indoors. This needs to be done 5 to 7 weeks before the last anticipated frost date. The seedlings can then be transplanted into your garden anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks after the last actual frost date. Call your County Extension Office to get frost information for your area.
Selection Tip: when choosing tomato varieties, keep in mind that determinates ripen over 3-4 weeks on bushy vines that usually need no staking. Indeterminate vines continue to grow and produce fruit all season until frost. The large vines need support.
