    Rosa ‘Blue Girl’- Blue Girl Rose Though many plants declare to grow blue flowers, few really do. But one such true blue bloom is the Blue Girl rose. The Blue Girl is a hybrid tea rose. It is actually a silver, lilac-lavender color, yet it does turn gray-blue in color. The blue blooms are aromatic and have up to 40 petals. The single bloom of the Blue Girl rose blooms in mid-spring and blooms repeatedly all year long. The Blue Girl rose bush grows to about 48 inches tall. This is a rarity that deserves a place in everyone’s gardens! You’ll love its unique color and its highly aromatic fragrance, a combination if there ever was one! Zones: 4 - 10 (-20 F) Height: 2-3′ Spacing: 3-4′ Depth: dig a hole large enough to spread out the roots without bending them, firm well and water in thoroughly Spread: 2-2.5′ Sun/Shade: Full sun, at all times to help the rose maintain its true blue color. The sun fades the pigments to give the rose its natural gray-blue color. If grown in the shade, the rose flowers will appear lavender in color. Color: silvery lavender, grey-blue Foliage: dark green, leathery glossy Flowering Date: spring-fall occasionally in winter depending on location Soil Requirements: Well drained, humus enriched soil. Add peat moss to the soil if your ground soil is heavy. Use a dehydrated cow manure or an organic compost. Growth Rate: Moderate to fast growing rose bush.
