2 Live Plants Heirloom Rose Hardy Beauty White Climber Package of2 Starter Plants for anHeirloom Climbing Rose - Prom Queen ™ approximately 6 to 8" with 2" root ball. I recommend that these be placed in pots and allowed to root out (about 6-8 weeks) before planting. Check out the plant food offered in the store. This commercial quality 19-6-12 is what I use in the nursery, and will get your rose off to a very good start. Combining plants with your plant food results in substantial savings on the shipping. Up to 4 Starter Packs as in this listing will fit in a Flat Rate box and ship for 12.90 with plant food. If you are interested in this as package, then please email me prior to checking out as I will need to adjust your shipping manually. (If you have had trouble with roses before because you just can’t keep up with the care, then this is one you should try.) This rose was found in an old Florida homestead propertyabout 15 years ago. It had been abandoned forover 30years without care and it had not only survived but thrived. The display of flowers and buds was just stunning. I was so impressed that I dug up a portion of it and brought it home. It has survived 5 hurricanes here, including being completely covered by a 50 ft. fallen oak tree for more than a month. I have tried for many years to find out it’s true name without success. Rose specialists have told me it is somewhat like this one and somewhat like that one. I hope anyone who recognizes it will email me at emerald@strato.net. Around here it has been nicknamed ‘Prom Queen’ because the buds are tinged pink and evoke (for us at least) memories of vintage prom and/or bridal gowns and corsages. It is a perpetual bloomer and repeats with clusters of white doubled blooms all year. The buds are tingedpastel creamy pink. It is the easiest to grow of all that I have tried. It literally will grow anywhere. To keep it looking its’ best and have the most flowers, then plant in well drained soil, provide adequate irrigation and good quality plant food and prune fairly often 3-4 per year. It looks good with a support like a fence, trellis or pergola, but is plenty sturdy enoughown it’s own. Give it plenty of room as it is a vigorous climber. It has never been cold enough here to effect it (except in a positive way- the pink blush is deeper and the blooms larger and denser. Since I don’t know about it’s hardiness north of zone 7, I would recommend you protect it from the cold as you would other roses if you are in a very cold climate. A Note on Toxicity Info For those with small children and pets, allergies, or other toxicity concerns. My best advice is to treat all ornamental plants as toxic unless you do the research yourself to determine otherwise.  Sensitivity to certain plants can vary greatly from individual to individual. Please use common sense. I have been a professional propagator and grower for many years. During that time I have acquired many speciality plants. The items offered here are babies grown from my own collection.
