    Coffee Seeds Cafe Arabica var. Pacas Up For Bid: One pack of 24 Coffee Seeds, packed fresh and including growing tips. This is a great opportunity to grow your own coffee beans right in your home. The plants can be grown indoors anywhere, or can be grown outside as long as they are not exposed to frosts, or freezing temperatures. The plants can also be sensitive to direct, intense sunlight. Some shade is needed. The Pacas variety is a compact type that produces very heavily and at a young age, usually within 3 years, unlike standard arabica types that won’t produce for several additional years. The glossy dark green leaves make this an awesome house plant that looks like a gardenia with huge leaves. Fresh Coffee Beans make it even more of a pleasure to grow. It is very low maintenance once established and is resistant to just about all common houseplant disease and pests. It will grow in just about any potting soil, and even in soil-free growing media. It should also do very well in popular hydroponics growing setups. When mature, small white star shaped flowers appear. The flowers have a jasmine like fragrance and are followed by green berries that turn red when ripened. The outside of the berry (cherry) is removed to expose the inside that contains two coffee beans. As stated in the listing, Shipping is included in the price of this auction. When shipping the seeds I protect them with padding to prevent damage. I can ship to USA addresses only, and I can’t be responsible for packages confiscated by the agriculture police. Please be aware of your local and state regulations concerning import of seeds. Shipping is $2.50 to US addresses. Only Paypal or US Postal Service money orders are accepted for payment. The seeds are shipped protected by bubble wrap material inside a heavy envelope. I just received these seeds which were imported professionally and were issued a inspection certificate and stamp on 05-15-08. The germination rate is stated to be 95% on that date. I’m packaging them into small retail packs as they are sold and storing them under optimal conditions to keep them fresh at 27% humidity. If you have ever imported seeds from outside the USA, you will understand how expensive it is to do so. Here is your chance to buy real coffee seeds, not the green unroasted coffee seeds that others sell that will not germinate. I took a picture of the front and back of the bulk package that includes the certificates that are inside the clear bag and can provide pictures if needed. This may be the last package of seeds that I import because of all the difficulties and expenses involved. If interested I can also take pictures of some of the coffee plants I have been growing inside my home.
