    The X Androlaechmea ‘O’ Rourkeis a biogeneric. It’s a cross of Androlepis Skinneri andAechmea Disticantha, I believe. It’s definitely the toughest plant I’ve seen by far. It can cook in the sun and it’s only response is to turn a brilliant red. The leaves are stiff as a sword and they flair out in a starburst.It looks like no other plant, in my view. I’ve taken so many pictures of it the last few years. The bloom is beautiful because it’s bright white and pink, and whetherit blooms when the planthas a red blush or it’s soft coppery color…..the look is fantastic!If contained, you can keep this plant to 30″-36″ across, or if planted, it can get 4′ wide. This sale is for a large, heavyoffset that’s 28″ high. If purchasing multiple plants, please let me send you an adjusted invoice reflecting a shipping discount, before you pay.Because of new shipping size regulations by the U.S. Post Office, we’re now offering parcel post shipping to keep prices down. We always attempt to get plants in the mail as soon as possible after payment. They will be in transit longer, but luckily bromeliads are so tough that we don’t anticipate any problems. This time of year we insulate the plants for cold weather, but please arrange to limit your package’s exposure to the elements. Of course you may still pay for faster shipping if you desire. THANKS!
