Let’s to show more details as following:☆ First of all: to distinguish the two ends of the seed
☆ Please kindly notice that there are two ends of the seed: the sticking-out one and the sunken one; and the sunken one is the right end to be broke a little mouth as to help the seed burgeon favoringly; You may rub away the shell of the sunken end on the ground, or break it with a pliers, or with a sharp knife, or you may also cut a little hole on the right end and submerge it in the water for a period and then cut off the shell on the end; but please pay attention not to cut too deep and hurt the embryo; When all this is ready, please put the seeds in the water and wait with patience .
☆ Five days later, the seed begins its germination
☆ Continue its growing…
☆ To help it pullulate better, you’d better cut off a circle of the seed shell again as much as the below picture shows;
☆ In the morning of the same day~~
☆ In the afternoon of the same day~~
☆ on the seventh day, it comes into leaf~~
☆ From the seventh day on, it’ll be better to be kept under the sun; and you may begin to prepare the basin and soil to transplant the seeds;
☆ The fourteenth day, the first leaf is open and the second one is on its way~~
☆ A month more or less, you can see its happy growing~~
☆ And some more days later, you can obviously witness its change~~
☆ How beautiful they are and enjoy your fruit~~ you can do it!!
Quantity:5 Sowing: under a proper temperature(above 16℃) and sunshine; can be sowed at any time of a year; takes only 50 to 60 days from sowing to blossoming, a little longer in autumn (60-80days), without any dormant period; Seed treatment: break a little mouth on the sunken end of the seed; carefully not to hurt the embryo, do not peel; (you may find the method in the follow) Seed germination: in summer, seeds should be good to be submerged under 20 ℃ -30 ℃ in water; Be kept inside and changed the water twice a day; It can germinate within 1 week; After that, Put it towards the sun, strengthen light but never let it dry; It Will outgrow fine-root and 2 to 3 young small lotus leaf after two weeks; Transplanting: choose a proper basin, put in a half basin of garden soil or soil without any chemical pollution, immerse the soil whit water but no fertilizer 2 weeks before you transplant the plant; carefully transplant the seedlings into the soil, each one basin, proper of water after transplanting(not over the lotus leaves); Autumn and winter management: 2-3 weeks after transplanting, fertilize the plants properly, better to keep it above 16℃;
